TechnoAge is an initiative pioneered by Jane Peterson and James Hoff, centered on helping seniors navigate digital tools, thereby fostering independence and bridging the digital divide. The project organizes tech seminars and personalized coaching for seniors to understand the ins and outs of the digital world, from internet banking to telemedicine.
The initiative’s unique approach lies in its pairing of seniors with tech-savvy volunteers – high school students who are eager to share their knowledge on the newest tech trends. This not only provides practical tech help, but also encourages inter-generational connection and mutual learning opportunities.
